Ingredients

Garnish
  • 1 apple slice
  • 1 lemon slices

Directions

Combine applesauce with turmeric, lemon juice and honey. Pour in seltzer water and stir. Garnish glass with apple and lemon slice.

Notes

Place jar of apple sauce in the refrigerator at least one hour before making the recipe or alternately place half a cup of applesauce in the freezer for 10 minutes.

Recipe can be easily adapted to multiple servings.

Directions

Combine the applesauce, grapefruit, strawberries and coconut milk in a blender container; grate in the fresh ginger (keeping some in your freezer and grating it frozen works great). Blend until smooth.

Notes

*slice off ends of grapefruit then carve down around fruit with a sharp knife to remove skin.

Put all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.

Serve immediately (makes about 2 cups).

Optional

Garnish with additional peach slices, ginger slices, and raspberries.

Fruity Almond Milk Smoothie

This is a refreshing two-toned smoothie, that is full of delicious, nutritious, and naturally sweet fruit that the smoothie requires no extra sweetening. Perfect for breakfast or anytime, as it very easy and takes only a few minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

PINK LAYER
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk (or almond milk, soy milk. Or if you prefer dairy, plain greek yogurt)
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice
  • 1 cup frozen blackberries
  • 1 cup frozen pitted cherries
  • 1 cup Our Family Garden Unsweetened Applesauce (chilled)
YELLOW LAYER
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (cold)
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice
  • 1 cup Our Family Garden Unsweetened Applesauce (chilled)
  • 1 small banana (peeled)
  • 1/2 cup frozen unsweetened pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup frozen unsweetened mango chunks

Directions

Place all Pink Layer ingredients into blender and puree/frappee until smooth.

Pour evenly into bottom of 4 serving glasses.

Place all Yellow Layer ingredients into blender and puree/frappee until smooth.

Pour carefully and evenly over the pink layer.

Garnish with berries and a green herb sprig.

Serve immediately.
